Ozone

Ozone is one of the most effect disinfectants and oxidants available today. The disinfecting power means that very low concentrations and short contact times are required to kill bacteria, viruses and mold. Ozone leaves no residue except for low levels of oxygen. As a result, ozone is used widely for:

Ozone is a Green Technology that replaces both steam/hot water and chemicals for sanitizing sanitation/CIP at a considerable savings annually into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. In some cases, ozone sanitation will yield a complete return on investment (ROI) is less than six months. With a small capital investment and low operating costs, ozone is a very costeffective and effective process for ensuring the safety of food and beverage.

With a high oxidation potential, ozone has the capability to oxidize, and hence neutralize, many very offensive chemicals in water and air, such as:

  • Hydrogen and mercaptan sulfides
  • Sulfur dioxide
  • Hydrogen Cyanide
  • Olefinic Hydrocarbons
  • Odorous Hydrocarbons
  • Color in Water

Htec Systems provides design/build Ozone Systems from engineering design to installation and start-up in the range of 100 grams to 1 kilogram per hour (5 to 50 lbs/day).
